The ability to cope under pressure was put to the test again recently when we undertook to carry out the replacement of the Air Blast Cooler at Westminster Underground Station.
As usual, we were charged with the task of dismantling a roof, lifting out the old and lifting in the new coolers, making all the necessary connections and restoring duty to the vital cooling of signal and communication plant within a weekend.
This was achieved despite the added issues of having to carry out operations within the historic and extremely security sensitive environs of the Palace of Westminster Estate.
We are very proud to say that the job went well and that (yet again) beneficial duty was resumed within just sixteen working hours of our arriving on site!
The key to our success in such jobs comes in the form of our experienced and “unflappable” teams, both working on site and working up plans and considerable preparations back at Conair’s HQ!
